Thy Kingdom Come Thy Kingdom Come (TKC) is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. To mark the 10th anniversary, this year’s focus will be the Lord’s Prayer. Whether you have joined in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ before or not, we invite you to take part. Booklets available at the back of Church. We will be holding daily prayer slots from 29th May to 6th June. Click here to find out more.
On World Mission Gift Day St. John's has an annual collection for our Mission Partners. It is felt that this gives better focus to our Mission outreach than simply giving one tenth of the weekly collection to Mission - as occurs in many churches. For many years now this event has resulted in donations of £20,000, for which our partners are extremely grateful.
Help Thomas raise money for Fundo In July Thomas Poole is going to Uganda to visit our mission partners the Asikus and help build the water tanks for the school in Fundo. Thomas hopes to raise over £1000 for the charity. You can help him by buying or baking cakes for the cake sale on the 8th June after the 10am service. Or you can sponsor him on his challenge to walk the height of Mount Everest in Scotland between the 18th May-3rd June. Click here to go to Thomas' JustGiving page or go to the Fundo Foundation Page.
The National Churches Survey The National Churches Trust is carrying out a survey to help politicians, the media, and the wider public better understand the challenges churches face and to highlight the vital work they do. They want to hear from anyone who volunteers or works at a church. The survey closes on 30 June - have your say here.

PRAYER FOR THIS WEEKEND Dear Lord: Forgive those things we have done which have caused you sadness, and those things we should have done that would have brought you joy. In both we have failed ourselves, and you. Bring us back to that place where our journey began, when we said that we would follow the way that you first trod. Lead us to the Cross and meet us there.
